Brent Barton, partner at Barton Trial Attorneys, serves on the board of the Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon (CTFO) working to end child abuse in Oregon and advancing his personal mission to prevent children from becoming victims and ever needing the support of a personal injury lawyer. CTFO is the only statewide nonprofit organization focused exclusively on child abuse prevention. The Trust Fund provides strategic investments in proven prevention programs around Oregon, public awareness and educational campaigns related to child abuse prevention, and research and policy work on emerging best practices in the field.

  • Fighting for the Rights and Welfare of Children

The Barton Law Firm fights to protect the rights of our most vulnerable citizens, including children. In the recent past we have:

    • Provided financial assistance to the Lincoln County Olalla Center, a local mental health treatment facility for children.
    • Financed one half of a two-year office lease for Lincoln County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and challenged other local businesses to match our pledge of support, thereby training more volunteers to serve more at-risk children in our community.
    • Provided leadership to the American Association for Justice’s Child Sexual Abuse Litigation Group. Bill was co-founder of the group, and past Chairman.

Barton Firm Recognized by the Lincoln County Children’s Advocacy Center

The Barton Law Firm was recognized by the Lincoln County Children’s Advocacy Center for our volunteer efforts on behalf of children who have been physically or sexually abused. Over the years we have contributed $68,000 to aid the CAC in its efforts, as well as supported the cause of children’s welfare in our coastal community through children’s centers, court advocacy, and local and national law organizations.
